Rachel Murphy has expressed concern about what happened to his 5-pound dog Toto last weekend. Rachel claims that a groomer taped Toto r’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.
Rachel said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Toto r’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."
Wow! My Dog is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.
Rachel immediately took Toto to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. Rachel has accused Wow! My Dog of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.
Rachel described the injuries he observed, stating, "I noticed wounds near the joints, around the neck, and in the genital area. The cuts were so deep that they caused blood to flow."
Marianna De las Vegas, customer of Wow! My Dog posted a Yelp review detailing the way his pets were returned unwell or injured. Another customer captured a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.
Bad Review
Wow! My Dog wants its customers to understand what their groomer said to him. After all, they trusted this person with the care of their animals. Rachel said, "Juliann told me that tapering the mouth shut was a normal, acceptable method. He claimed it is better than using a muzzle which, according to him, can be harmful for dogs. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."
Gate News contacted Wow! My Dog who answered it but handed it off to a woman, who informed her that she was investigating the allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the call abruptly.
